CLV stump grinding process
1. The stump grinder is fuelled up and all bearings greased ready to start work.
2. The stump grinder is driven into the area; small or large grinder dependant on access.
3. The stump is cut as close to ground as possible.
4. A small excavation is made using a mattock to remove any loose stones, and as last check for foreign objects and services.
5. I board the grass where needed to prevent any turf damage.
6. Stump grinding shields are erected across the area to prevent flying debris fouling nearby areas.
7. The stump grinder is progressed forward through the stump in passes swiping side to side.
8. Part way through the bearings are regreased and the cutting teeth are turned or changed as necessary.
9. After grinding is complete the excavation is backfilled, and the area raked and levelled.
